Why We Designed the Buddy Bunny

One day, our designer received a very special package in the mail. As she carefully pulled back the tissue paper, she revealed her favorite Teddy Bear from when she was a child. She reminisced over the huge trees they would climb, the beaches they would explore and the clouds they would watch roll by as they identified each one. With this sense of wonder fresh in her mind, she opened her sketch pad and began to bring Buddy Bear and his animal friends, like Buddy Bunny to life.

No matter the journey, Buddy Bunny is ready! Designed with long limbs that fit into little hands, a narrow body that is easy to hold and oh so soft fur, this friend is ready to go! From first day of school adventures, Easter morning and even hikes, this bunny the perfect companion.

Our Story Started in 1981 when our founder opened a cart on Church Street in Burlington, Vermont and began selling Teddy Bears that he made in his garage. Over thirty-five years later, our Bears continue to be best friends, members of the family and beloved heirlooms. They are made with care from soft, premium materials and designed to give hugs that last a lifetime.
